Accommodation

Kapama Karula Lodge offers has ten Superior Villas and two Superior Family Villas. The library is the perfect place to get lost in a book, connect with the family back home via our media centre or even arrange a romantic firelit dinner for two.

Superior Villas:
There are ten superior luxury villas, each exquisitely decorated and with generous private space. These suites each have an opulent en-suite bathroom featuring indoor and outdoor showers, his and hers basins and a bath. Standard in each superior villa is a minibar stocked with a selection of fine wines and champagne, a Nespresso coffee machine, a lock-up safe, an international adaptor, a Wi-Fi connection and an iPod docking station.

For guest comfort and convenience, each suite has a telephone, overhead fan and air conditioning, as well as a gas-heated fireplace for cool winter nights. The superior villas are wrapped by glass sliding doors, allowing seamless views over the Klaserie River. Each villa has its own outside deck area, full-sized heated swimming pool and sun loungers for relaxation on a private outside deck area with a full-size heated swimming pool and sun loungers for relaxation, enabling seamless views over the Klaserie River while spotting wildlife in the Game Reserve.

Superior Family Villas:
There are two purpose-built superior villas for families. These family villas have an open-plan living room, replete with fireplace, which flows into the master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom leads off the living room and can be accessed through an interleading door or its own entrance. This children's bedroom is also en-suite and is equipped with a flat-screen TV, selection of movies and a Wii game console.

All other amenities are included - from well-stocked minibars including a selection of wines and champagne to Nespresso coffee machines, air conditioning, overhead fans, telephones, Wi-Fi and an iPod docking station. Each family villa has a private outside deck and a large heated swimming pool for year-round swimming.

Breakfast and Dining

All meals are included in the rates and served daily. On request, Kapama Karula can offer kosher meals.

Activities

Two daily game drives are included in the rates. Kapama has a variety of ways for you to explore our beautiful landscapes and wildlife. Our twice-daily game drives and educational bush walks are an essential part of the Kapama experience.

Karula Spa & Wellness Centre

After a day out in the wild, there's nothing more welcome than a pampering treatment in our award-winning luxurious spa. But if you're in need of something more energetic, our state-of-the-art fitness centre may be just for you. For those who aren't quite sure, there's always the steam room or spa pool – and even a curio shop where you can find that perfect gift for a loved one back home.

Kapama Air

Discerning travellers can now – on request – fly directly between Cape Town International or OR Tambo International and Kapama's private airfield. Guests making use of this service will have access to the exclusive Fireblade facilities at ORTIA that includes a gym, day rooms, boardrooms, and more. Similarly, guests flying in from Cape Town will have access to Signature Flight Services' facilities. Flights from Johannesburg take only 50 minutes, and flights from Cape Town around 2 hours 45 minutes.
