About Khumbula

Khumbula, meaning ‘to remember' in Zulu, is a luxury villa designed around the spectacular views of Walker Bay in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, a one and a half hour drive from Cape Town. Rising from the cliffs, nestled in the indigenous fynbos, Khumbula enjoys a prime location in de Kelders, close to the small fishing village of Gansbaai.

Self Catering Accommodation

Khumbula sleeps up to 6 guests who want a truly unforgettable holiday. Wake up to uninterrupted views of Walker Bay, widely accepted as the premier location for land-based whale watching and home to one of the largest populations of Great White sharks in the world.

Khumbula provides a tranquil escape, offering a remarkable holiday experience on a 1,130 m² natural property with a 400 m² living space.

The villa features a welcoming entrance hall that leads to two en-suite bedrooms in a separate sleeping area. The residential wing includes a fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining utility room and a spacious living and dining area, all offering breathtaking sea views through expansive windows.

Upstairs, you'll find an additional en-suite bedroom with a private bathroom, dressing room, and access to a generous balcony.

The outdoor dining area has been transformed into a cozy indoor space with panoramic sliding doors. In colder weather, you can comfortably sit inside, enjoying the warmth and ambiance. When the weather is warm, these sliding doors can be opened, seamlessly connecting the dining room with the pool lounge, creating an inviting space that blends indoor and outdoor living.

From here, guests can take scenic walks through the Fynbos to the cliffs, or simply relax with a sundowner while watching whales, dolphins, seals, seabirds, and stunning sunsets.

Additional Facilities

Off-street parking is available, and complimentary WiFi is provided. Guests have full access to the entire property and all open spaces, except for a small private area upstairs reserved for the owners.
