King Protea Cottage offers Hout Bay accommodation on the north side of the property, with fantastic views over the valley. This location is on the back slopes of Table Mountain flanked by the majestic Twelve Apostles and the Constantia Berg Mountain Range.

Self Catering Accommodation

King Protea Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Hout Bay and is the most stylish cottage on the estate. The bedroom is furnished with a King-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The room has air-conditioning for the hot summer months and overlooks the patio to the front with views down the valley.

The sophisticated lounge area is complete with a wood-burner fireplace, satellite channels coupled to a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The open plan lounge leads through to a completely refitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and plenty of storage.

Barbecue facilities are at the front of the cottage with the patio in the front overlooking the vineyards and valley.

Situated on the north side of the property, this cottage offers a magnificent view over the valley and the Twelve Apostles Mountains to the West side of the estate.

Houtkapperspoort is positioned just 200m from Constantia Nek, directly between Constantia and Hout Bay, allowing guests access to a number of activities and attractions within a 10 – 15 min drive, including Constantia Valley Wine Estates, Hiking Trails, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Chapmans Peak Drive, Horseback Riding, Hout Bay Harbour, Golf Courses and top restaurants.
