About Klipbokkop House

Klipbokkop House at Mount Ceder offers Cederberg accommodation with a magnificent 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape. Mount Ceder lies within easy reach along the main route through the Cederberg mountain range. It is a great wilderness area with majestic views, amazing spring flowers, rugged mountain bike rides, walks and hikes – perfect for the young and not-so young.

Self Catering Accommodation

Klipbokkop House is an exclusive house in Cederberg sleeping six guests. The first bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The loft room his furnished with two three-quarter beds and makes use of a separate bathroom downstairs fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The open plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a gas stove and an oven. There is a fireplace in the lounge area for warmth on cold winter nights and an outdoor fireplace on the deck to enjoy a braai/barbeque. There is also a large dining table outside on the deck.

Situated on top of a rocky ridge, our guests enjoy the spectacular view as the Groot River meanders its way down through the valley below. The sun rises from the crest of the Klipbokkop mountain slope in the east, offering our guests a beautiful sunrise scene early in the morning. The evening scene on a warm, clear night is just as mesmerizing, as the full moon rises from the same place.

There is a wide wooden deck that wraps around the front and sides of the house where one can relax and enjoy the vast and relaxing view. A Jacuzzi is nestled at the end of the wooden deck and is perfectly positioned to enjoy a drink while watching the sun slip behind the Kettlekop mountain, ending another beautiful day in the Cederberg.

Dining

The Old Mill House is a licensed restaurant at Mount Ceder, serving breakfasts, light lunches and dinners. The meals are served on a fixed menu basis and cater for most dietary requirements. Evening meals do need to be pre-booked 24 hrs in advance and any special dietary requirements made known when booking.

Activities

With a perennial clear river, wonderful bird life and stunning mountain scenery, Mount Ceder has activities for every taste and level of fitness. Come to the Cederberg and enjoy the mountain scenery and the many activities Mount Ceder has to offer, or just read a book at your house and relax. In addition to the many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and swimming on the property, we are also within driving distance to many other Cederberg attractions and various 4x4 routes.
