Tucked away amidst untamed bushveld on the banks of the Sabie River, you will find the Kruger Park Lodge. It is here we have our beautiful Kubu Chalet 224, offering self catering accommodation in Hazyview, perfectly set up for family holidays in the Kruger area.

Self Catering Accommodation

Kubu Chalet 224 is a Holiday Home in Hazyview with three bedrooms.

The master suite is furnished with a King-size bed and opens onto the deck. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, bidet, toilet and basin. The second room is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The third room is furnished with twin beds and has a private adjacent bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Bathroom toiletries are provided for each guest arrival, as well as crisp white bath towels.

Kubu offers a chefs delight, with a fully equipped kitchen and a small separate laundry room. The kitchen flows into the dining area and out to an open plan contemporary lounge, with oversized sofas, plush scatter cushions and Persian carpets.

If you want to keep up to speed with what is happening in the world, there is a TV with a bouquet DStv programming offering or CNN, BBC and Skynews as well as Holiday Movie Channels and a few popular TV series. From here, sliding doors lead out to the deck.

The one side of the deck is undercover, so rain or shine, you can be out there enjoying your braai(barbeque). It is a great place to sit with your morning coffee and watch the Nyala family go about their day.

As you continue exploring, the deck drifts around onto the sun-drenched front porch overlooking lush gardens, bush and a small ravine. This ravine has a tributary leading off from the Sabie River and during the rainy season, you can hear the stream of water as you sit on the deck at Kubu Chalet.

A super added feature on all windows and sliding doors are mosquito mesh frames, which are ideal to close during the evening, to let the cool night air in, whilst mosquitos stay out. Kubu also boasts an indoor fireplace (charcoal only) for those chilly winter nights.

Activities On Site

Apart from a Gary Player designed Golf Course, a driving range, floodlit tennis courts, 3 outdoor pools and a Kiddies play area, a highlight is the Hippo Hide and the Bush Lapa on the banks of the Sabie River. There are beautiful walks around the Estate, from the Forest Trail to the Hippo Loop.

Kubu Chalet offers the choice of self-catering, or you can walk down to the Terrace Restaurant and Cocktail Bar overlooking the main pool area. Light bites are served off an interesting menu and at night the indoor G's Grill restaurant is open offering traditional South African cuisine, as well as your regular Grills, pizzas, burgers & salads and Specials of the Day. The Kruger Park Lodge Estate has 24 hour on-site security, a full laundry room and housekeeping services.
