About Kuhestan Farm Cottages
High above the warm, tropical valleys of Tzaneen, in the misty mountains that crest at the top of the Magoebaskloof pass, rests the elegant Kuhestan Organic Farm. Touching indigenous Afromontane and in the grounds of this beautiful organic farm rest the Kuhestan Farm Guest Cottages.
ACCOMMODATION
Each of the four studio-style units comprises a fully furnished, double (or two three-quarter beds), room, with its own en-suit bathroom - including a heated towel rail. Serviced daily, each unit is tastefully furnished with easy chairs in front of a wood-burning fireplace and a fully equipped, quality kitchenette.
The units are designed for couples, which is connected through inter-leading doors. Each unit has a private entrance and is surrounded by lovely gardens.
There is a charming family chalet with all the trimmings of the other four units, plus a small separate bedroom with a bunk bed to accommodate two children.
A new addition is a cottage comprising of two en-suite bedrooms, with Queen-size beds, with a shared kitchen, dining and lounge area.
The Farm
Arising deep within the heart of the indigenous forests, pure waters gurgle their soothing lullabies as they mingle with the scent of wild grasses and meander down to the valleys below. It is from these waters that Kuhestan Organic Farm draws the foundation ingredient in its range of cordials.
Ninety eight per cent (98%), of fruits used in the production of Kuhestan Cordials, are locally grown and sourced. The cordials are made following traditional Persian recipes and free form the addition of any artificial preservatives, colorants or chemicals.
ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES
Kuhestan Organic Farm boasts one of the most beautiful gardens on the mountain. The adjacent Afromontane forest is home to the rare Samango monkeys and many exotic birds and butterflies that visit the gardens to the delight of the owners and visiting guests.The gardens are open to the public as a tourist attraction.
Kuhestan Organic Farm offers farm tours, including its farm-factory to interested visitors & tourists.
