About Lake View at Blue Crane

Lake View @ Blue Crane offers Dullstroom accommodation for anyone with a love for nature. Lake View is situated a mere 15 metres from the waters edge of the top trout dam and has its own private jetty for fly fishing. Blue Crane is situated approximately 10 minutes' drive from the well-known fly fishing town of Dullstroom with all its amenities, shops, restaurants and attractions.

Self Catering Accommodation

Lake View @ Blue Crane is a self catering holiday home in Dullstroom, sleeping eight guests in four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first and second bedrooms are furnished with a Queen-size bed each. The third and fourth bedrooms are furnished with two single beds each. The first bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The second bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin.

There is a beautiful wooden finished fully equipped kitchen, an eight seater dining room table and a scullery area with a dishwasher.

The living room is complete with leather couches, a morso fireplace and a flatscreen TV with satellite channels.

The patio has a big built-in braai and two covered seated areas. The first has a table for outside dining next to the braai, and another area with two three-seater benches and a coffee table.

The unit has a beautiful stone build boma where camp fires can be made.

Activities and Attractions

The farm boasts two beautiful dams where guests can enjoy fly fishing. Both dams are stocked with rainbow and brown trout.

Bird watching is also a very popular activity on the farm due to the big variety of land and water bird species that visit. Endangered bird species such as the Crowned Crane and Blue Crane can also be spotted and we have a Blue Crane breeding pair that recently nested on one of the islands in the big dam.

The venue offers beautiful scenery with free roaming game species such as Springbuck, Blesbuck, Zebra, Hartebeest and Vaal Rhebuck. We offer guests the chance to hike or cycle on well kept paths on the farm.
