Letaba River Lodge is one of the Tzaneen guest houses and provides accommodation in 38 guest rooms for anyone visiting the Valley of the Olifants region.
About Letaba River Lodge
Situated in the romantic Tzaneen area, next to Letaba River surrounded by the R71 to Phalaborwa Gate at the Kruger National Park, Letaba River Lodge assures your comfort in the surroundings of bush and wildlife atmosphere.
TZANEEN ACCOMMODATION
Letaba River Lodge offers luxury accommodation in a selection of rooms including plasma TV's with DStv, showers and room service.
A minimum of 6 guests per booking are required.

Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast is served in the warm welcome restaurant surrounded with the wild life atmosphere. Dinner is offered exclusively for our overnight guests. You can treat yourself to a wide variety of South African dishes from our a la carte or buffet menu. The ladies bar is the place to meet friends or enjoy great variety of sport events on the big screen.
Activities and Attractions
Beautiful and scenic hikes and walking trails can be following up into the game farm, where a wide variety of game can be found; impala, nyala, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, waterbuck.
Predator Park:
You can view our Predators in our Predator Park with n Tour Guide where interesting facts will be told off each animal. Lion, Tiger, Hyena, Caracal, Serval, Leopard and much more.
Fishing:
Fishing in the Letaba River which runs though the lodge, or on three smaller dams on the game farm.
Bird Watching:
A walk along the embankment of the Letaba River will provide you with great opportunities to view some of the area's most exotic bird life. Mountain grasslands and forest habitats as well as the local dams provide opportunities to see birder`s specials such as Narina Trogon, Green Twinspots, Buffy-streaked Chats and Cape Parrots.
Game drives:
We do Game Drives. The drive lasts about 1 hour. See if you can spot the following; Nyala, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Blesbok, Zebra, Ostrich, Impala, Hippo
. And many different bird species and typical bushveld flora. A most enjoyable experience.

It was the most terrible accommodation I've ever seen. The photos shown on the site must be quite old. The place might have been nice someday. But now everything is old, Seats are torn, door closed hardly, the floor in our rooms was so dirty, that even the kids wanted to wash their feet after a few steps of walking barefoot. WiFi doesn't work in the rooms. The pool area was full of trash and the water dirty. On the ground there was a thick layer of mud. We cancelled our second night, but didn't get full refund. The staff seemed to be indifferent. A woman nearby said, that she was comming to Lethabe since many years, but she never saw it that dirty and scruffy.
