About Libertas Guest Farm
Libertas Guest Farm offers self-catering accommodation on a working dairy farm in the idyllic lakes area in the heart of the Garden Route. The lovingly renovated farmhouse sleeps a total of 10-12 people, while the Dairy house sleeps up to 5 people.
Libertas is located close enough to all the best tourist attractions the area has to offer. We are conveniently located 14km from the town of Sedgefield and 15km from Wilderness village.
Self Catering Accommodation
Guests at Libertas Guest Farm have the opportunity to experience living on a working dairy farm while staying in one of 5 accommodation options. Stay in either the comfortable, spacious and lovingly renovated 150 year-old farmstead, an old dairy turned into spacious accommodation with great views over a dam and the Outeniqua mountains or one of three cottages adjacent to one another and within walking distance from The Dairy.

The Area
The area is a huge attraction for any nature-lover. Hiking, bird-watching, paragliding, canoeing, surfing, whale-watching and mountain-biking are just some of the activities this area is well known for. Visits to the dairy and feeding the calves are always an exciting experience for the kids. Guests are close to all the tourist activities but are able to retreat to the quiet and tranquil surrounds of Libertas to rest and plan the next days' action.

The Farmhouse

Libertas Farmhouse is a holiday home in Hoekwil sleeping six adults and four children. There are three bedrooms downstairs, two are furnished with a Queen-size bed and one is furnished with two single beds. The open plan loft area is furnished with four single beds. There are two bathrooms, one is fitted wit a bath, shower, toilet and basin and the other is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is also an outdoor shower for the more adventurous.The spacious living area has a fireplace and a TV with a selection of DSTV channels available. The kitchen is fully equipped for your self catering stay. There are three patio areas and a choice of braai spots. There is a playground for kids with a jungle gym and swings from the bluegum trees, covered parking garage and a volleyball net etc.

The Dairy

This old dairy has been turned into spacious, stylish accommodation. It still has the old kraal at the front of the house and if not for this and some other structures in the surrounding area, nobody would know that it used to be a fully functional dairy. This unit has a more modern feel than the Farmhouse and provides spacious, easy-living accommodation with lovely views of the Outeniqua mountains and a farm dam. The two bedrooms sleep four guests. The main room has a Queen size bed and the second has two single beds / one King size). A Day-bed in the living area is available for an additional child. There are two en-suite bathrooms with showers, no bath available. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area has stacking doors and french doors leading onto stoep with braai. Outside there is a boma fireplace in the old kraal area where the cows were gathered before milking. This unit is best suited for 4 adults or those with older children and teenagers as there is a farm dam ±100m from the house. Please note that the farm dam is not fenced off and this can pose a risk for smaller children.

A wonderful escape to the quiet countryside! A beautifully appointed cottage with fantastic views . Linda has certainly thought of everything to make for a perfect relaxing stay.
