About Little Swift Chalets
Little Swift Chalets is situated in the Skeerpoort Valley and overlooked by the majestic Magaliesberg Mountain Range. Intimate and romantic self-catering chalets offer accommodation on the banks of Magalies River close to Hartbeespoort Dam. Easy driving distance from Johannesburg and Pretoria.
This picturesque setting, which is approximately 20km from Hartebeespoort Dam, is not meant for the excitement-seeker, although there is plenty to see and do in the area. At Little Swift you enjoy peace and quiet, walks, birdwatching, game viewing, swimming and fishing.
Self Catering Accommodation
There are eight Little Swift Chalets, each with an open plan design accommodating two adults in a Queen-size bed. Each chalet is between 30m to 50m apart, overlooking the river and offering complete privacy providing an ideal venue for a break-away weekend with your significant other.
The chalet has a corner bath which overlooks the river yet is totally private from any angle. They also have a bathroom with a shower. There is an inside fireplace, kitchenette and an outside private patio braai. The chalets are equipped with a fridge, double hot plate stove, microwave, linen, cutlery and crockery.
The river, swimming pool and the whirl pool are unfenced so children must be supervised at all times.
In the centre of the horseshoe, slightly elevated is the communal Lapa which has a whirl pool, an infinity swimming pool, a grassy area ideal for a braai and then the inside braai and serving counter, ideal for chilly winters.

Upon first arrival at reception, Little Swift is not very impressive. We almost considered turning back and going home. The chalet itself, however, was a dream to stay in. It offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway, including a fire place, braai and an amazing corner bath that overlooks the river. There are also monkeys, bucks, squirrels and vast birdlife to enjoy. The swimming pool was nice and warm and the general serenity of the premises was something we haven't experienced in a long time. It was the ideal break after a long year.
