Situated on 1700 hectares working Organic Rooibos and Buchu Farm, on the foot of the Cederberg Mountains, between the towns of Citrusdal and Clanwilliam, lies Lylius farm cottage – for the perfect authentic country experience. Guests will enjoy peace and quiet with this remote private cottage with a hot tub, lost in nature and surrounded by majestic mountain scenery.
Accommodation
The accommodation is self-catering with a fully equipped kitchenette, full bathroom. The cottage has an indoor fireplace for cosy winter nights, an aircon for fresh summer nights and outside braai facilities. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests, in 2 bedrooms.
There is a private, wood-fired hot tub on the back deck overlooking the rock face and tree canopy.
On site Facilities
Wood is for sale at the cottage for your convenience. Guests can enjoy swimming and fishing in the farm dam, and discover our hiking/MTB trails. Our Wild Buchu trail is a 14km hike with a stunning panoramic view of the Cederberg Mountain range. For family with young children the rock art trail is a lovely adventure with an easy 5 km hike. Pawed best friends are welcome to join on all hikes and activities on the farm.
It is the ideal place for a family getaway, a romantic weekend, or some peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as there is limited cell phone and internet reception.
Pets
Pets are allowed with prior arrangement (maximum of 2 dogs). Pets are not allowed on furniture, couch or beds; please bring your pawed best friends' beds, blankets and toys. There is a charge per pet per night payable on arrival.

This two bedroom cottage has two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with two three-quarter beds. There is a bathroom with a shower, toilet and a sink. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. There is comfortable seating and an indoor fireplace in the lounge. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge / freezer, two plate stove, toaster, crockery, cutlery and a kettle. Outside on the patio there is outdoor furniture and BBQ / braai facilities. There is a private, wood-fired hot tub on the back deck overlooking the rock face and tree canopy.
