No wonder this is called the golf coast of South Africa. The long golden beach of Margate is where it all happens, and in a 2-minute drive, there's an amusement park and Margate's main swimming beach.

During the holiday season there are a host of festivities taking place for the young and old. Margate Beach also offers excellent swimming and surfing and has the sought after Blue Flag status. Water temperatures rarely drop below 20 degrees celcius, so you can swim all year round, even in mid-winter.
