Magoebaskloof is a lush forested area in the mist belt of the northern Drakensberg. Known as The Land of the Silver Mist with the Village of Haenertsburg as its 'capital', this pristine area with its many different faces will enchant you and tempt you to stay longer.

Magoebaskloof boasts a host of activities including: fishing, hiking, birding, scenic drives, visits to beautiful open gardens and organic farms. For the adrenaline junkies there are challenging adventure sports and mountain bike trails. The area is host to the Wolkberg Stage Trail Run, Iron Crown Trail Run, The Magoebaskloof Mountain Bike Classic and the Ebenezer Mile.

If you are not competing, come along and enjoy more relaxing pursuits. There are a variety of function venues, restaurants, shops and nurseries. With four festivals a year: Berry Festival, Autumn Food and Wine, Holistic Fair and the famous Spring Fair - the busy community will not let you go home disappointed.
