About Marietjies Guesthouse

Marietjies Guest House is situated in the town of Ulundi which is nestled in the heart of Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal. We provide a very personal hands on service to our guest at any time of the day or night.

Accommodation

Marietjies Guest House offers seven guest rooms which consists of three single rooms and four double rooms, each with its own en-suite bathrooms facilities. The single rooms are for one person only, whilst the double rooms can accommodate two persons either with two single beds or a double bed.

The four double rooms are built of the solid wooden logs as in the American log houses style. All the rooms have their own fridge, TV, air conditioning with a kettle to make coffee and tea. Rusks are also available in the rooms.

Double Room:
The Double Room consists of two single beds that can be converted to a double bed. The room has a bathroom, air con, DStv and a small fridge.

Single Room:
The room has a single bed, a bathroom, air-conditioning, DStv and a small fridge.

Additional Facilities

Marietjies Guesthouse has one of the best kept gardens in Ulundi which surrounds all the rooms with a pleasant sight whilst staying over. A microwave is available when guests request such. Ironing as well as washing facilities are available also on request.

Safe parking is provided on the premises and the perimeter wall around the premises is equipped with an electric fence.

Breakfast & Dining

We offer breakfast, supper and lunch packs. Freshly prepared meals are provided daily in the mornings as well as the evenings. Lunch packs are prepared as early as requested on the day required. For persons who do not want our cooked meal of the day we offer the choice of an A la Carte menu. Meals are prepared by a qualified chef. A braai area is also provided.

Location

The guest house is about 1.5kms away from the main business area and the government buildings. Transport to and from the local airport is provided free of charge and this is about 2kms from the guest house. The closet entrance gate to the Umfolozi Game Reserve is 35kms away.
