Matjiesvlei Retreat Swartskaap or Blacksheep is a self catering holiday home found on a peaceful farm in Calitzdorp. Calitzdorp, popular for port making, is a great place to come for a bit of peace and quiet while still having plenty of things to do in and around the area.
Self Catering Accommodation
The house has three bedrooms. The first room has a King-size bed and the other two rooms have two single beds each. There is a bathroom with a shower and a bath. Bath towels and linen are provided.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area where you can enjoy your meals. The lounge is comfortable and there is an enclosed braai room with patio furniture.
Additional Facilities
Outside there is a patio, an outdoor shower and a pool.
Location & Attractions
This is an anglers paradise, with a wide variety of fish species including Yellow fish, Black bass, Eel and Carp. There are also fantastic water holes perfect for swimming and rowing. The Bôjaankop 4x4 route takes you to the top of Bôjaankop from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Little Karoo.

An absolute gem in the Klein Karoo. Swaartskaap house is absolutely amazing, we had an incredible time. The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen / outside braai area has everything you need for a family getaway! Highlights included the plaasdam, the rolling green lawns and the thousands of star we saw every evening. Don't think twice, book your stay! We'll be back in a heatbeat.
