About Modimolle Kingfisher Cottage

Kingfisher Cottage offers Modimolle accommodation in a comfortable eight-sleeper cottage located on the lower level of the farm dams with a bird's eye view of the dam below. From here you are an easy 90 minute drive from Pretoria and 2.5 hour drive from Johannesburg. As soon as guests turn off the R101, they start to unwind.

Self Catering accommodation

Kingfisher Cottage in Modimolle offers standard accommodation in its four bedrooms that all lead off from the main living area. To the left are two bedrooms, the main room is furnished with a King-sized bed, while the other is furnished with two single beds. These bedrooms have access to a shared private bathroom fitted with bath, basin and toilet. Opposite are two bedrooms furnished with King-size beds, percale linen and their own private en suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

With its mixture of contemporary and antique furnishings, the cottage's cosy open-plan living area features a large couch, leather tub chairs and wooden dining table with four chairs and dual-purpose wooden bench. Glass sliding doors lead out from the living area onto outside reed-covered patio. The small, but well-equipped kitchenette features a four-plate gas stove with oven, fridge/freezer combination and microwave oven. In addition, it offers other self-catering amenities including a kettle, toaster as well as crockery and cutlery.

The farm also features a country pool, two farm dams and surrounding gardens.

Kingfisher's natural exterior finish melts away in the bushveld surroundings, making you feel right at home in the Waterberg setting. The outside reed-covered patio with garden furniture is ideal for relaxing and looking at the activity in the dam below. With the barbeque at hand, this is a relaxing space to enjoy the serenity of the area around the barbeque fire. Wooden screening offers additional privacy.

Guests can choose from a diverse range of activities in Modimolle, Bela Bela (formerly Warmbaths) and the surrounding areas of the Waterberg.
