About Sunbird Farm Cottage

Sunbird Farm Cottage is a gorgeous cottage situated on an organic cattle farm 12.5km from the historic town of Graaff Reinet and offers self catering accommodation for those looking for a tranquil getaway. There are a number of attractions and activities in the area and we are happy to advise you on these.

While on the farm guests can enjoy the large garden area, magnificent scenery and activities such as walking, bird watching, mountain biking and photography.

Self Catering Accommodation

This beautifully decorated and furnished cottage sleeps two guests in one bedroom furnished with a double bed. There is a bathroom with a shower. Linen and towels are provided.

There is an open-plan living area and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, a fireplace, a firepit and a terrace.

Note

Having your own vehicle is essential. The road is regularly graded, but corrugations persist. A 4x4 is not completely a necessity but we strongly recommend that or a high clearance vehicle, just for your own convenience. Please note that while many saloon/low slung vehicles visit, this is at your own risk, most especially if it rains when the road can become very boggy.

Please remember that this is an African farm. Snakes, insects, weather, challenging terrain all pose their own threats and you are responsible for your own safety.
