About MonTQ Guesthouse
MonTQ Guesthouse is an historical thatch monument offering accommodation in Montagu on the famous R62. Being in the centre of town it forms part of the rich history Montagu has. Historical buildings such as Montagu Museum and Joubert House are a stroll away.

MonTQ Guesthouse in Montagu has three guest rooms. Each of the rooms has air conditioning, heaters, Wi-Fi, TV with selected channels and a tea / coffee station.
All rooms open onto a court yard where guests are more than welcome to sit and enjoy quiet time or sharing a glass of wine. In our enclosed garden area with a beautiful array of plants and a secluded pool you can enjoy the mountains views of historically Montagu. There is also a braai area.

Montagu is situated in the heart of R62, the original route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. It is a historical town that lies in a beautiful wine and fruit valley and is surrounded by the most picturesque mountains.
The town has natural hot mineral springs that offer the tourist the perfect opportunity the experience the healing properties of the springs and is open daily until late. Montagu offers great outdoor activities like 4x4 tractor rides, mountain climbing, rock climbing, quad biking, leisure hikes, spa treatments, and much more.
The area hosts about 52 wineries and the surrounding towns like Barrydale, McGregor, and Bonnievale are the perfect places for day trips. Montagu is a true delight and home to great restaurants, wine bars, and activities and reflects the true Karoo lifestyle of fine wine and fine food.
