Absolutely stunning place, wonderfully designed up to every detail. Hosts Wendy and Nishan have been very welcoming and accommodating. We loved the breakfast setup, to experience various places in Franschhoek and room and outdoor area was simply perfect. We hope to come back again soon!

Exceptional. Очень любезная хозяйка. была плохая погода и она предложила нам бесплатное повышение класса бронирования. Дом просто изумительный - большой, красивый, стильный, удобный. так же на каждый день нам были забронированы завтраки в разных ресторанах города, что очень впечатлило нас. так же в доме была бесплатная вода, вино, закуски, сладости.

Wir waren fünf Nächte im Monument House. Es war wie in einem Traum, das Design, die Gastgeber, die Lage, die Großzügigkeit... Das Frühstück wurde jeden Tag in einem anderen Frühstückslokal reserviert, so lernt man Franschhoek schnell kennen... Hier kommen wir wieder!!!

It felt like a home away from home, our hosts even prepared savoury pies for our arrival. They practise a Breakfast Odyssey concept where they book their guests to have breakfast in the village.

The accommodation was exceptional. One of the best places we have ever been to. The hosts Wendy and Nishan were absolutely fabulous. Breakfasts in different locations worked very well and allowed us to see more places in Franschhoek.

Die neue Anlage und die Suiten sind bis ins letzte Detail perfekt durchdesignt. Das Gastgeberpärchen ist sehr engagiert und freundlich und lest einem die Wünsche von den Lippen. Das Stadtzentrum ist fußläufig erreichbar und auf der Anlage fühlt man sich zu jeder Zeit sicher.

When in Franschhoek then stay in stunning Monument House! Beautifully designed hotel with an out of this world garden and pool area. amazing hospitality and a very warm welcome by the owner Wendy.

Wendy is a wonderful hostess and provides everything you could wish for in a luxurious setting. The views are superb. The town is only a short walk away with many lovely shops and restaurants.

Exceptional stay, prime location in pure luxury, wonderful hosts - Beautifully designed rooms, with welcoming hosts and everything you could ask for in luxury accommodation. The grounds are stunning with 360 views of the mountains to match. Perfect location for exploring Franschhoek, the centre and tram stop a short walk and excellent taxi service for going further afield.

First there was the perfect welcome by Wendy, the inventor and owner of the Monument House, followed by a guided tour through the estate...Then we entered our Cottage, which is breathtaking, Design, Materials and details are perfectly choosen.. pure luxury .. finally she informs you that the breakfast is in one of our favourite spots in Franschhoek... just great....we love it

We had vouchers for different breakfast locations. That was fantatstic as we could explore more places.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE, AMBIANCE AND FRIENDSHIP - A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE, VISITING DIFFERENT VENUES EVERY MORNING AND SEEING DIFFERENT PLACES

All in all, we had a fantastic experience at Monument House and could not recommend highly enough. We had an absolutely idyllic stay at Monument House over four days in early January 2023. The property is newly completed and elegantly designed and furnished: an enormous bedroom and similarly sized ensuite made us feel truly pampered, and enjoying one of the (many) complimentary drinks while sat on our private rooftop viewing terrace made for truly memorable sundowners. Indeed, being nestled in the foothills of Franschoek the property enjoys stunning panoramic views, while still only a (leisurely) ten minute walk into the town. The hosts Wendy and Nishan were absolutely fabulous. Perennially cheerful, they are also excellent cooks and the freshly prepared afternoon treats were delicious (albeit not great for the waistlines). While we could happily have spent all our time lounging by the pool, Wendy and Nishan gave lovely recommendations for enjoying the best Franschhoek and the neighbouring wine region has to offer. They even booked complimentary breakfasts at different restaurants for each day of our stay.

The accommodation was exceptional,the design and attention to detail both in the rooms and the landscape and the setting of the property made for just an amazing stay Wendy and the team were wonderful ,I have stayed in some pretty amazing places in my lifetime and this is absolutely one of the best ,I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to unwind ,relax and do some fenominal wine tasting and dining Hard to beat !
