About Morgan Bay Hotel
Just an hour's drive from East London, along the Wild Coast, you will find the Morgan Bay Hotel. Established in 1946, this newly renovated, third-generation, family-run hotel is situated between majestic cliffs and a mile-long stretch of unspoilt beach.
Known affectionately to many as ‘Morgs', the Morgan Bay Hotel is fast becoming a favourite family holiday destination and a choice venue for many weddings and conferences. This newly renovated hotel attracts visitors both locally and from further afield, including Germany, America and England.
Accommodation
The hotel comprises of 40 rooms including sea view, partial sea view, non-sea view and deluxe rooms. All rooms come standard with a ceiling fan, free Wi-Fi, en-suite bathrooms, DStv and tea / coffee facilities. Family inter leading rooms and cots for the little ones are available on request.
Breakfast and Dining
Guests will be able to enjoy a full English breakfast and serviced four course dinners in the hotel dining hall overlooking the gardens and Indian Ocean. An alternative restaurant and bar offers an expansive menu of breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner dishes. Two licensed bars, including a guest's only bar are available and waiters are available throughout the day to take orders.
Activities and Attractions
There are so many things to keep you entertained in Morgan Bay. We have an unspoilt mile-long beach, majestic cliffs criss-crossed by hiking and mountain bike trails, beach sports, fishing spots, horse riding, rock climbing and abseiling. Within a 15km radius you can enjoy a game reserve, a golf course, township tours and a tranquil coastal nature reserve, where you can hunt for Ming dynasty porcelain, Money Cowries and Carnelian Beads from a 16th century Portuguese shipwreck.
Children will be kept entertained enjoying the swimming pool and games room including 8 ball pool, table tennis and darts. For the less adventurous, our beauty spa offers a range of massage treatments to help you relax and unwind.
The Sandhoppa Beach Boutique is also open and sells a range of branded clothing, footwear, hand bags, costumes and towels to ensure you have everything you need for your stay should you have forgotten anything.
