Morokolo is a boutique luxury safari lodge situated in the private concession of the Pilanesberg National Park called the Black Rhino Game Reserve. We are a 2½ hours' drive from Johannesburg in the Platinum province called the North West.
PILANESBERG ACCOMMODATION
With a selection of lodges, Morokolo Safari Lodge is the ideal wildlife safari getaway destination for couples, families and small corporate / tourist groups throughout the year.
We offer exciting daily Big 5 vehicle safaris with our own dedicated game ranger, scrumptious dinner and breakfast at the reserve restaurant, and the peace and tranquility of the African bush. For a truly South African experience the traditional “braai” can also be arranged at the lodge as an alternative dinner option.
The lodge also features a refreshing splash pool, intimate Jacuzzi and fully stocked honesty bar. Airport transfers can be arranged if required - please give reception 72 hours notice.
Activities
Walking safaris are available on request, and other popular activities in the area include hot air balloon safaris. Buffalo regularly roam in this area as they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitors to Pilanesberg National Park.
Characterized by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and white and black rhino) as well as cheetah and wild dog. Antelope species include Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Gemsbok and springbok. With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true 'birders paradise'.
