Munster Bay Beach House has four bedrooms. The main bedroom is located upstairs and is furnished with a double bed. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. The bedroom opens onto the upstairs balcony. At the end of the house, a smaller yoga / meditation room or informal lounge with tiled floors leads onto a full-length balcony and stunning vistas. Downstairs there are three bedrooms. The largest room is furnished with a King-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds which may be pushed together to form a double bed. The third and smallest downstairs bedroom is furnished with two single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower and there is a separate toilet with basin. Bed linen, blankets, duvet and towels are provided on the beds. Beach towels are also provided and will be found in each of the cupboards. Linen is washed weekly for water saving reasons, but may be done more regularly at guests requests. Off the entrance hall, the kitchen, living and dining rooms represent a large open entertainment and relaxation area with views of the sea, coastal vegetation, lawn, the sandy beach and rocky shores. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. A gas hob and electric oven, microwave, toaster and fridge provide for cooking and eating at home. Some dry goods (such as salt, spices, paper towel, plastic bags, tin oil, and cling film – may vary) are generally available on an honesty basis. Down a few steps, the lounge is comfortable and ideal for bird, dolphin and whale watching with its large window. From there, glass sliding doors lead to the main dining room with its eight-seater table and then out onto the exterior patio. There is a breakfast bar with chairs between the lounge and kitchen with a view of the beach. The patio has a dining table and Weber braai. From the front garden, access to the beach is down the slope to the security gate leading to steps through the palms, silverleaf and wild banana onto the beach. Next to the patio, a basic outdoor shower nestles amongst the vegetation.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

Can I pay the deposit at month end?

That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
