Murchison View Cottage offers Gravelotte self catering, deep in the African bush and within the communal grounds of the farmhouse. Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of a bush retreat but with the security and warm hospitality of the Niemann family nearby.

Self Catering Accommodation

Murchison View Cottage is a self catering holiday home with two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a King-size bed and the other has twin beds. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. They each have French doors that open up onto the patio and overlook the garden.

There is a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge. Braai facilities are available and guests can enjoy sitting around the fire at night listening to the African sounds, including lions often heard calling into the night.

Guests have access to the swimming pool that is situated near the farm house.

Attractions

During your stay you can simply relax and rejuvenate and enjoy the activities available on the farm including accompanying farm staff to feed the game, bird watching, and game viewing. Alternatively explore the surrounding area, as the cottage is ideally situated for Kruger Park and offers a great base to visit many of the tourist attractions in the area.

Accompany staff on a unique experience of feeding the game animals and monitoring the breeding herds of nyala, sable, black impala and buffalo. The area has many bird species that you can spot from your veranda, on walks or drives. Game drives can be arranged for staff to take you out onto the farm to see if you can spot some of the plains game including zebra, giraffe, warthog and kudu.

If you are out at night to keep your eyes peeled for the elusive leopard and resident brown hyena. With prior arrangement, we can organize a spa therapist to come to the farm for treatments in the comfort of the cottage.
