Self Catering Accommodation

Oak Cottage is a delightful, air conditioned holiday home in Wellington which can accommodate four guests in two en-suite bedrooms.

The bedrooms are furnished with Queen-size beds and the bathrooms are fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. All bath and pool towels provided, conditioning shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and hand cream.

The cottage has a spacious, beautifully decorated open plan living area with a dining table and comfortable furniture. There is also a wood burning stove for the chilly winter days.

The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and includes coffee and tea making facilities with Rooibos and English breakfast tea, plunger coffee, milk, sugar and rusks. Dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets and a bundle of wood with firelighters and matches are provided for the fire place and braai. More wood is available on request.

The living area opens to a well-sized, undercover furnished patio with braai facilities and a splash pool. The cottage also has a wood-fired hot tub.

Activities and Attractions

Bainskloof is named after Andrew Geddes Bain who in 1849, with the help of several hundred convict labourers built an 18-kilometer pass through the Limietberg Mountains of Wellington. The flora of the Bainskloof area encompasses an astounding 277 varieties of flowering plants. Adventurers flock to Bainskloof to participate in mountain biking, hiking, and swimming in the freshwater pools.

The unspoiled nature of Bainskloof makes it an ideal getaway. Other attractions include the Bobbejaans River trail (Bainskloof), Boschenmeer Golf Course, Bosman Wines, Ceres Zip slide tours, Doolhof Wine Estate, Paarl Rock Nature Reserve and Wine Valley horse trails.
