The thatched Opstal Vlei Cottages are two-bedroomed cottages with fireplaces overlooking the wetland. This stunning spot is the perfect place to enjoy a tranquil stay while still being ideally located to explore the reserve and all it has to offer.

There are three lovely cottages each with two bedrooms. The main bedrooms have a double bed and the second bedrooms have twin beds. Each cottage has one bathroom with a shower.

Location & Attractions
Few other reserves offer as complete an outdoor experience as De Hoop, with sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope and the Potberg Mountains.Birdwatchers spend time along the shores of the vlei observing wading birds, while the Potberg Mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures.
Hikers and cyclists have close encounters with bontebok, the Cape mountain zebra, eland and baboons. Activities are diverse and guests can choose between various day walks, mountain biking along the many gravel roads and scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkelling in the many turquoise rock pools are great ways to pass the days.
