About Oriole at Kruger Cliffs

Oriole at Kruger Cliffs offers accommodation in Hoedspruit that is ideally located for safari activities in and around Kruger National Park as well as activities in and around the Panorama Route. From some spots in the Lowveld, you might be able to see the Drakensberg Mountains in the distance, but from our bedroom windows they fill the frame.

Self Catering Accommodation

Oriole at Kruger Cliffs is a holiday home in Hoedspruit sleeping two adults and two children. The bedroom is furnished with a King-size extra length bed or two separate single beds if preferred. The bed is under a large mosquito net hanging from the ceiling. The bedroom is air conditioned, and we use the softest percale high-quality bed linen. From your room large glass sliding doors allow a superb view on the mountains.

The bathroom is fitted with a large indoor walk-in shower with a view towards the mountains, a double basin and toilet. But in all but the coldest nights you can also enjoy your outside (rain-) shower. Built with a little wink at the old bucket showers …but don't worry; ours has hot water.

The comfortable living room is furnished with a double-size bed sleeper couch, ideal for two children.

The kitchen is quite different from the basic affair they call a kitchen in most of the park's accommodation. A microwave, a cooking plate with four heaters, a water kettle, a toaster… all appliances you need are there. The list also includes a large fridge / freezer combo, and a dishwasher.

The cottage has a dining table indoors, right next to the kitchen counter. So on a windy day or a cold morning, you can always enjoy your meal indoors. However, there's also a dining table outside, in the shade and we're sure you'll be using that one the most.

From your deck you've got that same magnificent view, for you to enjoy in all privacy. There is also a large (6m2) refreshing plunge pool and braai facilities.

Experience

There's so much to see and do in the Hoedspruit Lowveld area and the Highveld. If you want to experience it all, you'll have to come back a few times. Kruger Cliffs compiled a list of activities that you can book through us. Just let us know what you'd like, and we'll arrange it for you

Kruger's Orpen Gate is a mere 30 minutes away on a smooth and quiet tar road. It's pretty much one straight line from Kruger Cliffs to the park. The Blyde Dam and Mariepskop are only a short drive away. It's about 30 minutes to the Strydom tunnel, the start of the Panorama Route.
