Pepper Tree @ Kleinrivier is a beautiful farm cottage offering accommodation in Uitenhage in the Groendal Wilderness Area with all the comforts of home but the tranquillity of the Karoo landscape. With the bicycle track and natural rock swimming pool nearby there will be no shortage of ways to enjoy your time when not relaxing on the deck.

Pepper Tree Holiday Home in Groendal Wilderness Area overlooks our dam and is one of the best spots to sit and watch the sun set as the fire blazes and a glass of red wine rests lightly between your fingers.
There are three bedrooms, one is furnished with a King-size bed and a single bed. The second is furnished with a Queen-size bed and the third is furnished with a single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Hot water is supplied by a wood burning "donkey".
The living area with a fireplace is large enough to accommodate a larger group than the 6 that can sleep in Pepper Tree, so if you are planning a celebratory weekend with a few friends book in here and make this your rendezvous point.
The kitchen is well equipped with a 5 plate gas hob but the only electricity is 12V for the lighting and fridge.
The large patio has an outdoor fireplace and is the perfect spot to enjoy the tranquillity of the Karoo landscape.
Activities & Attractions
Kleinrivier is a paradise for hikers, birders and those who simply want to escape other people for a while. We have not introduced any of the big five so it is safe to walk and explore our many trails on your own.
The scenery in the Kleinrivier gorge is spectacularly beautiful and there are frequent pools to tempt you in on a hot summer day. If you are lucky you may encounter klipspringer, kudu or other game that we have introduced.
