Self Catering Accommodation

Periwinkle 1 is a self catering holiday apartment in Ramsgate with four bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, built-in wardrobe, a vanity and sliding doors leading to a veranda with a beautiful view of the ocean and tidal pool. The second bedroom is furnished with a single bed with a variety of toys for children, as well as a surfboard, body boards, flippers of different sizes, a water slide board and more! The third bedroom is furnished with twin beds, built-in wardrobe and a vanity. The fourth bedroom has a single bed, built-in wardrobe and a vanity.

The unit has two shared bathrooms, one fitted with a shower and separate toilet with a washbasin, and the other bathroom has a bath, washbasin and toilet. Linen as well as bath and swimming towels are provided.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with all cutlery, cooking utensils, crockery, a fridge / freezer, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and extras like a mixer. There is a breakfast corner, as well as a dining table with seating for six guests. The dining room has sliding doors leading to a small balcony. The lounge has comfortable leather couches, numerous books, board games and a TV with DStv connection point. Guests must please bring their own decoder and smart card. There is a storage room with an ice machine, SodaStream and water filter.

This lounge has sliding doors leading to the large veranda with a long table that can seat twelve guests and there is a gas braai. A lock-up garage with secure parking is available for one vehicle and is reached via a remote control gate. The apartment has its own water supply and uses two water tanks.

On Site Facilities

Outside there is a wooden deck, as well as a communal salt swimming pool, two outdoor showers and a pool room with a table, couch and fridge. The communal pool room also has a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet.

Attractions

The beach and tidal pool are both a few metres away from the apartment. The apartment offers direct access to the beach and the Whale Deck. Activities and attractions in and around the area include horse riding, swimming, bird watching, whale watching, cycling, guided hiking trails, bodyboarding and surfing, as well as exploring the lagoon on a pedalo or canoe.

There are several restaurants in the area, such as The Waffle House, Blue Lagoon, Crayfish Inn and Lobster Pot. The apartment is walking distance from antique shops, the BP service station with a shop, a liquor store and a bar. The Hibiscus Mall, Wild Coast Casino, Red Desert, Beaver Creek Coffee, Shelly Beach Mall, Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, San Lameer Golf Course, Spar and Mac Banana are only a short drive from the apartment.
