Pitlochrie The Farm House is fully equipped for self catering. Linen and towels are provided. This grand old house has great historical value in the story it tells of the wool-boom years. Step back in time; enjoy the expansive rooms and the beautiful garden setting with red oaks, silver birches and a copper beech. It sleeps ten people and is perfect for groups of friends and families. There are two double bedrooms, two twin rooms and one single room. One of the double rooms is on the ground floor and has an open fireplace, one of the twin rooms upstairs also has an open fireplace. The double room upstairs has its own veranda. Two of the bathrooms have a shower and the other a bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has an open fireplace. A limited amount of firewood is provided and more can be purchased. The house also has a dining room and sun room. Outside is an expansive veranda and braai facilities. The Farm House has access to free Wi-Fi, a pool table, dart board, a clay tennis court, badminton, boulle, river / rock pools and picnic spots. Optional daily housekeeping is available.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
