Pom Gratz Infinity Dome is a property for self catering in Tesselaarsdal for up to 2 guests visiting the Cape Overberg region.
Pom Gratz Infinity Dome offers a unique, off-the-grid experience that is situated on a tranquil, picturesque farm in Tesselaarsdal. If you like the wide-open spaces, Overberg stars at night, walks in the Renosterbos, then we look forward to seeing you soon.
Pom Gratz Infinity Dome is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has a private bathroom with a shower, waterless toilet and basin.
The toilets are all waterless, and the excess water from the Dome goes into a developing gray water wetland. Electricity is supplied by our off-the-grid solar system.
This dome has a kitchenette with a bar fridge, two plate stove and coffee/tea facilities. The sitting area opens onto a deck, overlooking the picturesque farm with a built-in hammock and an outside bathtub.
Secure parking and braai facilities are available.
There are tranquil walks in our labyrinth, through our pomegranate orchards, and renosterbos rambles. You can relax in the hammock sunk into your deck or gaze at the sunset and evening starts at our star deck. You can chat to the hosts about the off-the-grid eco-friendly lifestyle – right down to the 350 square metre greenhouse, heavy with veggies, herbs and more.
Tesselaarsdal is part of a route, known as the Cape Country Meander. The route includes eight rural Western Cape towns, six mountain ranges, three passes, seven dams, and a whole experience of what small-town living is like in the Western Cape Province. The towns include Tesselaarsdal, Botriver, Caledon, Genadendal, Grabouw, Greyton, Riviersonderendand and Villiersdorp.
Tessies is found in the heart of the Cape Overberg, roughly 21 kilometres from Caledon and the N2. Here lies the quaint, virtually unheard-of village of Tesselaarsdal. It sits at the top of the Hemel and Aarde region 40km from Hermanus and about 32km from Stanford.
What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.
