Poplar Cottage has spectacular views of the gardens and offers comfortable Hout Bay accommodation on the Houtkapperspoort Estate. This location is on the back slopes of Table Mountain flanked by the majestic Twelve Apostles and the Constantia Berg Mountain Range.

Self Catering Accommodation

Poplar Cottage is a self catering holiday home in Hout Bay sleeping six guests. The first two bedrooms are downstairs. The main room is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has views down the valley. The second room is furnished two single beds. Once you ascend the wooden staircase you reach the third bedroom that is furnished with a Queen-size bed, built into the high roomed roof space. All rooms have comfortable mattresses and lovely fresh bed linen to make your stay as relaxing as possible.

There are two bathrooms, one is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin and the other is fitted with a bath, a toilet and basin.

Downstairs, the large, double-volume lounge complete with comfortable rattan lounge suite and wingback chairs has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and plenty of space to relax, under wooden beams and high ceilings.

Towards the rear of the property the open-plan kitchen is fully fitted with electric hob and oven, washing machine, fridge / freezer and its own bar counter and bar stools, offering additional seating.

Outside, there is a large open patio to the front of the property with outdoor garden furniture, perfect for your morning coffee looking over the estate. To the rear is the cottage's garden with views up to the mountains, here you will also find the braai / BBQ.

On Site Facilities

The Estate facilities include a Play Park, Tennis Courts and outdoor Swimming pool which makes it a hit with family members both young and old.

The Area

Houtkapperspoort is positioned just 200m from Constantia Nek, directly between Constantia and Hout Bay, allowing guests access to a number of activities and attractions within a 10 – 15 min drive, including Constantia Valley Wine Estates, Hiking Trails, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Chapmans Peak Drive, Horseback Riding, Hout Bay Harbour, Golf Courses and top restaurants.
