About Port Boathouse at Coot Club

The Port Boathouse at Coot Club is set between the green slopes of the Maanschynkop Mountains and a spit of land bordered by the glittering waters of the Walker Bay Nature Reserve. Tucked into the milkwood forest that fringes the southern banks, overlooking the tranquil lagoon waters, and within reach of Walker Bay, where Southern Right whales nurse their calves from July to November, Coot Club offers experiences as diverse as the species it nurtures.

Accommodation

Port is a charming, family-friendly home with three bedrooms, perfectly suited for a group of friends or a family getaway. The two main en-suite bedrooms offer stunning lagoon views and are located on opposite sides of the living area, providing ample privacy. The third smaller bedroom is a twin room with a separate bathroom. For added convenience, the snug area can accommodate two additional children under 13 years, thanks to the sofa beds.

The open-plan living space features a lounge, dining area, and kitchen with a vaulted ceiling, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. This space flows seamlessly to the lawn, fynbos, and the lagoon beyond, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. On cooler evenings, the wood-burning fireplace adds warmth and coziness to the home.

In addition to the beautifully designed space, Port offers several thoughtful amenities, including a bar fridge, bathroom towels, bed linen, complimentary toiletries, and wireless internet. For families with young children, a cot and highchair are available.

The Clubhouse also has swimming pools and Wi-Fi.

On the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon, and expands to a secluded part of the pristine Walker Bay Beach and Nature Reserve, a perfect position for sand-based whale watching. With 1000 hectares and over 1,500 metres of frontage on the Klein Rivier Lagoon, daytime fun varies from quad biking through fynbos, 4x4 beach excursions, relaxing lagoon cruises, kayaking, guided bird watching, wine tastings and sundowners in special places with panoramic views.
