About Pumula Lodge
In the heart of the Garden Route, nestled between the town of Knysna and the famous Knysna Heads, lies Pumula Lodge - the place of rest.
The well-appointed and eco-friendly lodge in a tranquil, parkland setting, is the ideal place to sit back, relax and enjoy a sundowner on your private deck overlooking the garden. A tree-top breakfast amongst the birds adds to the unique experience and don't be surprised if a few tame and opportunistic feathered friends join you for a titbit, preferably pecked from your hand.
A private entrance leads to five en-suite bedrooms , each with its own deck overlooking the garden and swimming pool. Rooms are well-appointed with everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. There is a covered barbeque area next to the swimming pool for those guests who prefer to relax at home and perhaps have a barbeque (or as we say in the vernacular, a braai).

Pumula Lodge in Knysna is a 4 Star B&B, has five stylishly spacious decorated rooms which sleeps 2 guests each except for room number 1.
Room 1: Bedroom size: 7m x 2.8m. Double room with two double beds (2 x normal double beds1,9 x 1.4 meters each) en-suite shower. This room can sleep 4.
Room 2: Bedroom size: 6m x 2.8m. King Room with 1 x king size mattress (1,9 x 1.8 meters) en-suite shower.
Room 3: Bedroom size: 6m x 2.8m. 1 x Twin bedded room which is two single beds (2 x 1.9 x 0.90 meters) en-suite shower.
Room 4: Bedroom size: 6m x 2.8m. 1 x Twin bedded room which is two single beds (2 x 1.9 x 0.90 meters) with en-suite shower.
Room 5: Bedroom size : 6m x 2.8m. King Room with 1 x king size mattress (1,9 x 1.8 meters) full en-suite bathroom (bath and shower).
All rooms have a private balcony overlooking the garden and sparkling pool, a television, heating / cooling, as well as tea trays.
Wake up to the twittering sound of birds, take a stroll through the garden with the resident guinea-fowl family going about their daily routine, relax next to the sparkling pool, enjoy a barbecue or sit on your own private balcony, sipping coffee or a sundowner. At Pumula, your time is your own and true relaxation is the order of the day.

BIRDER FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT
Pumula Lodge is situated on the Cape Birding Route and nature and bird lovers can enjoy the abundant bird life supported by the beautiful, indigenous garden. Over 100 species have been identified to date. Close to a bird sanctuary.

Glass, paper, tins etc. are separated from the normal kitchen garbage
Garden refuse is deposited on the compost heap
Biodegradable kitchen waste (except meat) is liquidized and fed to the earthworms
Toxic materials such as batteries, paint etc. are deposited in dedicated containers
Expired medicine is returned to pharmacies
Pesticides are reduced to the absolute minimum and almost non-existent
One window per bedroom is fitted with a flyscreen thereby eliminating the need for mosquito repellant
