About Puschka Writers Cottage
Puschka Writers Cottage offers accommodation in Magaliesburg in a converted and extended old farm cottage that is located on the opposite side of the Hex river to the main farm house. Puschka Writer's Cottage is the perfect place to escape to!
Self Catering Accommodation
Puschka Writers Holiday Cottage in Magaliesburg has one bedroom furnished with a Queen-size bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.
There is a comfy living area with a wood burning fireplace. The eating area and kitchen has a full gas stove and a gas fridge. Hot water is provided by a wood burning boiler (donkey) an the fire for this is tended by our staff. The cottage is off the grid and has a 12 volt solar powered lighting system and a small 220 volt inverter for charging cell phones and laptops.
Outside there is a patio area with an open braai / barbeque area and a natural splash pool.
Pets
Well behaved pets are welcome and the cottage is fully fenced in.
Please Note
Firewood can be bought at the farm, and guests are required to bring their own swimming towels. There is also a shop at the main house, selling farm produce, as well as produce from other farms in the area such as such as dried and pickled garlic, jams, and boerewors.

The Writer's cottage is always a joy to stay at. Peaceful, and remote despite only being 2 hours from Jozi. The Cottage is beautifully rustic, with all necessities (Teapot, coffepot, hot water, gas fridge and stove/oven) included. MTN reception is nonexistent so you have the opportunity to really switch off. Friendly and helpful service without being intrusive.
