Situated next to the N2, Mtwalume is a small and unique fishermen's village with a European, Indian and Zulu culture.

If you are looking for tranquillity this will be the right spot for you - long walks along the sandy white beach and the lagoon can be enjoyed during any kind of weather. The water of the Indian Ocean is crystal clear and clean.

This area offers also indigenous tropical fauna and flora with a huge variety of birds. An extended family of Vervet monkeys forms part of the Mtwalume Village people. Even the blue duiker is still seen around.

During the winter months whales and dolphins are often spotted playing in the waves. Just explore for yourself and discover what the area has to offer.
