The 3000 hectare reserve consists of savannah, grass plains and thick Bushveld. The reserve is home to some of the Big 5 while also boasting a large number of birds with over 100 species indigenous to this area.

Self Catering Accommodation

Rhino Family Unit Holiday Home sleeps six guests in two bedrooms.

One of the bedrooms is furnished with a King-size bed and the other has two single beds. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The open living room is furnished with a sleeper couch and opens to a deck overlooking the Hartenbos River. The unit is fully equipped for self catering with a full kitchen and a braai area. Facilities include safe parking, DStv, Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

On Site Facilities

The reserve offers game drives as well as quad bike drives and trails and helicopter flights. Guests are able to whale watch, go canoeing on the Hartenbos Dam, enjoy a coastal flight or view Great White sharks.

The area is ideally situated just 6km from Hartenbos on the way to Oudtshoorn. Attractions in the area include the Mossel Bay Museum, boat trips and drives along the world famous Garden Route.
