Rhino Sands Safari Camp offers five-star accommodation in a tented, luxury safari destination, that is designed to bring an authentic safari experience in traditional East African style to KwaZulu Natal. At Rhino Sands Safari Camp we embrace the idea of a bespoke safari experience.

Accommodation
At Rhino Sands, guests can stay in one of four luxurious, custom-built, private tented suites located amid beautiful riverine forest, each featuring a private living area, outdoor shower and a swimming pool.
Each tent opens completely on three sides so guests can immerse themselves in the wilderness experience. The camp has been designed and decorated with an emphasis on the romance of the classical safari experience, with a nod towards traditional safari styling but including all the modern luxuries.
Each tented suite has a stunning view of the river below where animals come to drink at permanent water holes throughout the year. With their own private swimming pools, lounges and outdoor showers, the guest accommodation is the ultimate in safari-style luxury. All the tented suites have King-size beds or two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath.
The Rhino Sands experience was created to encourage our guests to disconnect from their busy lives and reconnect with the environment and with one another therefore limited Wi-Fi is only available in the private tented suites during the middle of the day, outside of game drive and meal times.

A scrumptious breakfast, lunch and three course dinner are included as well as a selection of local wines, spirits and soft drinks.
Itinerary
In between game drives, guests can take advantage of the camp facilities. Upon returning from the morning drive a decadent breakfast is served. Guests can relax at the camp's lounge or bar deck and watch the myriad of bird life in the riverine forest.
A light lunch is served mid-afternoon and guests can find respite from the heat in their private swimming pool while watching the reserve's animals drink from watering holes in the river below. The second game drive heads out in the late afternoon and includes a scenic sundowner stop.
After returning to camp the chef will prepare a gourmet three-course dinner, featuring some of the flavours and ingredients South Africa is famous for. As the day draws to a close, spend time with us having a night cap around the campfire sharing stories or retire to your tent to fall asleep to the night time melodies of the bush.
