Rio Dos Elefantes River Camp is a highly recommended guest house with self catering option, providing accommodation in Balule for anyone visiting the Valley of the Olifants region.
About Rio Dos Elefantes River Camp
Situated on the Olifants River in the Balule Nature Reserve and bordering the world famous Kruger National Park, Rio dos Elefantes is surrounded by lawns and trees. It riverside location makes it an ideal location for spotting hippo and crocodile while other game such as antelope and elephant are often seen. Birdlife is prolific.
Accommodation
The camp sleeps a total of 19 guests (adults and children) in six units. There is a communal kitchen and pantry area as well as a braai / lapa area on the banks of the river. There is also a swimming pool. Guests can book a walking safari at an additional charge.
The Camp House is built of brick walls and has a thatched roof. There are six rooms and cottages, all of which are air conditioned and all have an en-suite bathroom.

Absolutely a indescribable peaceful and friendly atmosphere, a dream come true !! Love Agnes....such a friendly welcome and makes you feel at home immediately. The tranquillity of Rio dos Elefantes is fantastic. Oh I could go on and on...but go on and see for yourself.. Miss this place already !

We had such a blessed stay at Rio dos Elefantes. Our accommodation was excellent and the hospitality was beyond words. The kitchen staff went above and beyond what was expected of them and saw to our children's needs with no fuss. The scenery and view of animals was memorable and we look forward to making it back there soon.
