About Mamagalie River Lodge

River Lodge offers accommodation in MooiNooi in the heart of the magnificent Magaliesberg mountain range. The lodge is perfect for a romantic break away and overlooks a small seasonal stream.

Accommodation

River Lodge is a private one roomed lodge. The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed and an electric blanket is fitted during the cooler winter months, a stoep off the bedroom has an outside shower and is the ideal place to have your early morning coffee as the surrounding bush awakens.

The bathroom consists of a glass fronted double Jacuzzi spa/bath, shower and toilet, as well as an outside shower off the bedroom. Large windows allow guests to shower and bath whilst maintaining high privacy levels.

The open plan lounge area has a couch and Jetmaster fireplace in case of cold weather, wood is available on site and can be delivered by prior arrangement. It is fully equipped with 4 plate stove/oven, microwave, and large fridge/freezer. All utensils and cutlery for the kitchen and braai areas are provided including a poetjie pot.

There is a stoep and deck off the lounge entrance with a private braai and plunge pool, sunsets from this unit filter through the massive Wild Olive tree under which it is built. The lush garden provides colour and peacefulness throughout the year.

Although not required, security levels are high with an electric fence and alarm system linked to the owners.

Please Note

We are in a game reserve and no music systems are permitted, excessive noise that impacts other guests is not allowed. Ours is a walking farm and game drives are not permitted.

Remember to bring enough food and drink suitable for the duration of your stay, if you forget anything there are 2 large grocery stores within a 20 minute drive of the farm, however it is advisable to stock up prior to arrival.Units are equipped with a safe large enough to carry a laptop, guests should use these to store any valuables.

Activities

Enjoy a stroll through the secluded kloof, and listen to the exquisite sounds of the wakening bush. We have 1000 acres of private and pristine bush and mountain veldt for you to explore at your leisure.
