Roam Private Game Reserve is a Western Cape game lodge providing a wildlife experience for anyone visiting Karoo.
Roam Safari Lodge offers its visitors accommodation with a touch of country luxury in the heart of the arid Karoo region. The lodge has panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and even has its own waterhole attracting a plethora of game. The lodge has that classic Karoo country feel, where simplicity and comfort provide an escape from the semi-desert environment cocooning the accommodation.
What to expect at the lodge/reserve
Roam Safari Lodge consists of adjoining thatched roof houses surrounding a massive courtyard that cascades down to the lawns, wooden decked swimming pool area and small waterhole.
The main area is perfect for relaxation, and even has a secluded lounge complete with a fireplace. There's a second lounge and dining area that flows out onto the patio, where you'll find a braai, dining table and seating area under the awning.
Roam Safari Lodge has five bedrooms housed under a thatched roof lodge and is designed to offer a simple, luxurious and classic Karoo country experience. Rooms are located around a central courtyard complete with a fountain and sitting area. There are ample seating areas, outdoor dining tables and patio furniture in the main areas of the lodge.
All meals are included in the rates and are served daily at the indoor or outdoor dining areas.
Two activities are included in the rates. Additional activities can be booked at an additional cost.

The 5000 hectares of pristine wilderness covering the Great Karoo landscape is home to a world of natural and historical wonder. The focus at Roam is to restore and conserve the delicate biome of the area and to rehabilitate a variety of wildlife that can survive in the Great Karoo's arid conditions.
Walks through the wildnerness. Game drives with historical insight into the area. Buffalo and cheetah observation. Finding Meerkats, Stargazing, Sundowners.
What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.
Child policyChildren of all ages are permitted at Roam Safari Lodge.
Children over the age of 6 are permitted on game drives.
Children age 0-23months are free provided meals and snacks are provided by parents.
Children age 2-5yrs 25% of adult rate, parents are requested to provide snacks but the lodge will provide and prepare meals.
Children ages 6-11yrs pay 50% of the adult rate.
Children aged 12 and over pay the full adult rate.

Please arrive no earlier than 14h00, participation in safari activity cannot be guaranteed if arrival after 15h30. A guide will meet you at Roam Manor and transfer you and your luggage to Safari Lodge. No lunch is offered on day of arrival.
