Accommodation
RockFig Safari Lodge offers luxurious chalet type suites, each with air-conditioning and a King-size bed with crisp white linen. The bathroom has a stand alone bath as well as a shower. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
The rooms have mosquito-proof doors and windows that provide a peaceful day and good night's rest. Outside there is a shower as well as a splendid view of the outside area from the large veranda.
Heath and safety measures are in place and we have engaged with our sanitizing company and medical experts and put hygiene measures in place.
Activities
Daily safari activities are included in the rates. Families (children of all ages included) are provided with a private safari vehicle, that seats four guests, at no additional cost. Every game drive has an experienced guide as well as a local tracker with them. Guests are also able to enjoy guided safari walks.
Dining
All meals and local drinks are included in the rates. Guests are able to enjoy watching their meals being made. With the lodge's kitchen at the center of the lodge, the chef's meals are served in a private setup or enjoyed with fellow guests. Bush brunches are offered daily.
The Area
Hoedspruit is essentially an agricultural town located a stone's throw away from the Kruger National Park and is surrounded by game-rich country that makes it an obvious stopover. As a result, what began merely as a couple of shops, a bank and a little rondavel that served as a station building, has grown into what is today marketed as a premier eco-tourist destination because of its association with some of the best ‘Big 5' viewing in South Africa.
