Secret Gardens has a main house with two bedrooms, each furnished with Queen-size beds and have en-suite bathrooms. There is also a loft area with two three-quarter beds. Adjoining the main house are two self-catering chalets. Each chalet has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and the second has two single beds as well as a loft area with two single beds for children under 12. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with all appliances, a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, a washing machine, tumble-dryer, microwave, and pots and pans. The kitchen, dining and lounge area is open plan. The lounge has comfy leather lounges with a flatscreen TV and DStv. The dining room seats eight guests. The main house flows out to the undercover entertainment area which contains a bar, bushveld kitchen, outside lounge patio set and dining room patio set with a TV with DStv. It also has a huge fire pit for a nice crackling fire and a swimming pool with a safety net.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
