About Serengeti Cabin

Serengeti Cabin is an exclusive self-catering log cabin based in the countryside a mere 4 kilometres outside of town on the Spring Valley Farm and is revered as elite accommodation in Dullstroom. It boasts spectacular views over the rolling hills of the Dullstroom Valley and overlooks picturesque wetlands filled with an abundance of fauna and flora.

Self Catering Accommodation

Serengeti Cabin is a self catering holiday home in Dullstroom sleeping six guests. There are two deluxe en-suite rooms furnished with two three-quarter beds and an upstairs loft space with two single beds. One bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin and the other is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

There is a state of the art fully equipped kitchen, lounge with fireplace, dining and braai area.

The Serengeti Cabin overlooks wetlands abundant with game and wildlife, like Black Wildebeest and Red Hartebeest that roam freely on Spring Valley Farm, hence the name it has been given – 'Serengeti'.

The Area

The mouth of the Crocodile River runs through the 130 hectare farm ideal for river fishing. The farm boasts three glorious trout fishing lakes. These exclusive lakes have won the 'Best Waters' award during the prestigious Dullstroom Classic fly-fishing competition – three years in a row. Fishing prices are included in the price on catch and release basis.

A grassy landscape surrounds the farm and is unique with its own abundant flora. There are more than 50 different grass orchids that can be spotted in Spring and Summer, as well as The National Protea flower that grows wildly all year round on this cold landscape.

The farm has wild game and has a wide range of rare bird species such as Secretary birds and the Blue Crane, which is the National bird of South Africa, that can also be observed in their wild habitat on the Spring Valley Farm.
