About Serenity Lodge

Serenity Lodge boasts stunning views over the pasture lands and Buffelspoort Valley and Magaliesburg mountains it is peaceful and private. The resident herd of Blesbok and Impala as well as grey duiker and warthog are seen daily from the veranda.

Accommodation

A private braai and plunge pool off the deck are a highlight of this outdoor experience. Serenity Lodge has a spacious bedroom furnished with queen size bed (with fitted electric blanket in winter) and large glass sliding doors takes in the same vista.

A large glass enclosed veranda houses an outside shower and large double spa bath, both with the same stunning views and privacy. A soak in the spa bath with multiple settings while sipping your favourite drink at sundown is a magical experience.

The lounge has two luxurious armchairs and breakfast nook, winter warmed with a wood burning Dover fireplace, while the open plan fitted kitchen has a four plate stove/oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Quality utensils are supplied to ensure that your self catering needs are accommodated. The solar geyser has an abundant supply of hot water and an electrical back up is available, although rarely needed.

A farm reservoir behind the lodge can be used as a swimming pool and is shielded from view by a large Karee tree. Load shedding is not a problem with a generator installed in case of long power outages.

Please Note

We are in a game reserve and no music systems are permitted, excessive noise that impacts other guests is not allowed. Ours is a walking farm and game drives are not permitted.

Remember to bring enough food and drink suitable for the duration of your stay, if you forget anything there are 2 large grocery stores within a 20 minute drive of the farm, however it is advisable to stock up prior to arrival.

Units are equipped with a safe large enough to carry a laptop, guests should use these to store any valuables.

Activities

Take a stroll through the secluded kloof, and listen to the exquisite sounds of the bush. We have 1000 acres of private and pristine bush and mountain veldt for you to explore at your leisure. An energetic walk to the top of the mountain will give you views you only dream of, and if it is warm enough, take a dip in the pure, sparkling rock pools.
