Shamwari's Sarili Lodge is a luxury lodge an environmentally friendly private African thatch designed villa with a spacious deck overlooking the Bushman's River with expansive views of the plains, the lodge is positioned in the southern region of the reserve.

Sarili is an oasis of exclusive luxury overlooking the grassy plains of Africa and the Bushman's River, a sumptuous five-bedroomed lodge from where you and your family and friends can watch Africa's iconic Big Five.

The lodge is perfect for families or large groups who want to book the entire lodge and features a child friendly swimming pool, dining and lounge areas, and a special children's menu.

There are Luxury Courtyard Suites and Luxury River Suites. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

Service & Staff

Our exclusive use private bush villa includes a dedicated team of house staff, private chefs and guide, who tailor make your experience whilst with us. All meals, game drives, guided walks, selected local beverages, tea and coffee, water, laundry, tourism levy and 15% Vat would be included in the rates. Premium brand beverages, French Champagne, gift boutique purchases and spa treatments would be for guests' own account and not included in the rates.

The Family Experience

Family travel is one of the best ways for parents and children to bond. Shamwari is a natural extension of the Garden Route and has amazing wildlife experiences from game drives to walking safaris. Children from the age of four years old can join on game drives. With conservation at the heart of the reserve, guests are educated on all its conservation initiatives.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and Born Free Big Cat Sanctuaries are jewels to be discovered at Shamwari. The reserve is also home to a one of its kind Kids on Safari Adventure Centre. With a host of activities to keep the active bodies happy, from climbing walls to ziplines as well as indoor craft activities. Childminders are also available on request.
