You will find is the heart of the Northern Cape, Jan Kempdorp - the heart of the Vaalharts irrigation scheme. Our environment is rich in olives, pecan nuts, citrus and other agricultural products.

At Skemerkelk Guesthouse you will be welcomed with warm heartiness. Our place is a safe haven with many trees, a beautiful lawn and garden. A peaceful, home-loving family atmosphere. Surely, a place for the tired traveller.

Accommodation

We have 8 bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms each with its private entrance. Three of the rooms are family rooms with a queen-size bed and a three quarter bed. Each room is uniquely equipped with its own theme.

Luxurious beds and fine linen of high quality completes the rooms. Two rooms have each its own shower and a bath. One honeymoon suite with a big triangular bath is a charm to relax in. Each room has Dstv, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, as well as tea and coffee facilities with home baked biscuits. Daily room service and fresh towels is part of our service.

On Site Facilities

Our property can only entered by a security gate. We offer parking with 24-hour security cameras. We also offer a sparkling pool for a cool dip after a hot day. A fireplace in the dining area for the cold days is at your disposal. Braai-facilities (inside and outside) is available. Firewood are provided. We are also wheelchair friendly.
