To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Port Owen at the Skoenlapper holiday house. We were a group of 10 family members over 3 generations .The large open plan dining and lounge area allowed us to all cook and eat together, while several lounge nooks created hide always places for individuals to relax. The view over the lagoon as the sun set was breath taking. Would highly recommend this holiday house.
