About Spier Hotel

Village-style buildings, lush green lawns and spacious rooms situated next to the calming Eerste River are the defining characteristics of the 4 star Spier Hotel. The Spier Hotel is situated on the historic Spier wine farm in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, just 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

Accommodation

Our 80 rooms are clustered around six courtyards, each with its own swimming pool. The design is reminiscent of the Bo-Kaap or Mediterranean villages where pedestrians have right of way.

Rolling lawns, gardens and walkways connect the rooms with the reception area, lounge, bar, terrace and restaurant. The décor features a sophisticated, vibrant style with strong colours, patterns and textures, and a collection of art that explores contemporary South African culture.

Signature Rooms:
Signature Rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds. The rooms are beautifully but simply appointed, with quality as the key to the décor. The en suite bathrooms incorporate a large bath and a separate shower. Each room has its own TV with satellite channels to choose from and a shaded outdoor patio where you can unwind with a glass of wine.

Signature River-facing Rooms:
Signature river facing selected for their prime positioning are designed to include additional décor and fittings, and special services. In addition to the features of the Signature rooms, additional facilities are available such as a fully stocked mini bar, free access to Spier's Wi-Fi service, daily delivery of newspapers, special turndown and iPod docking facilities. Each of the rooms offers a view of the Eerste River and the picturesque Spier surrounds.

Suites:
Each of the four spacious suites faces the Eerste River and the Helderberg mountains, and has been individually designed to reflect Spier's ethos and celebrate South African culture. The Suites enjoy the services and facilities of the Signature Rooms and Signature Riverfacing Rooms.

Eating options include the Spier Hotel Restaurant, picnics, Spier Farm Cafè and Vadas Smokehouse and Bakery.
