Staples House is an inviting two-level family holiday retreat, perfectly situated on the tranquil shores of the Breede River in the peaceful village of Malgas. This delightful location, approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Swellendam and around 280 kilometres (a two-and-a-half-hour drive) from Cape Town, is framed by the breathtaking Potberg Mountain range.

Offering a rare opportunity on the Breede River, the holiday home is a fully equipped sanctuary with all the essentials, surrounded by lush lawns and a charming lapa right by the water's edge.

Self-Catering Accommodation

Spanning two levels, this home features a spacious ground floor that includes a queen-size bed and two single beds, accompanied by a generously sized bathroom with an extra-large shower. This area opens directly to the garden, providing easy access via stairs from the main deck. Additionally, an outdoor shower offers a refreshing option after a day filled with activities.

On the upper level, you will discover an open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area complete with a fireplace, all leading out to a sizable deck. The upper floor houses three bedrooms. The main bedroom is appointed with a king-size bed, a TV, a fireplace, and a private en-suite bathroom featuring a shower, toilet, and washbasin, with direct access to the deck.

The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed, while the third is furnished with two bunk beds, accommodating up to four guests. These two rooms share a bathroom that includes a shower, bath, toilet, and washbasin. The kitchen is well-equipped, boasting a fridge-freezer, an additional fridge under the deck for extra storage, and modern amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, and Bluetooth speaker.

For outdoor leisure, an entertainment area near the water, shaded by trees and surrounded by reeds, awaits your enjoyment. This idyllic space is perfect for leisurely braais or simply unwinding, with easy access to the water for swimming or a nearby hammock for relaxation.

The property features its own private jetty, ideal for mooring boats, fishing, or swimming. A shared slipway with neighbors is also available, and the driveway accommodates ample parking for up to 10 vehicles.
