Starking Cottage offers accommodation in Elgin on a farm. Enjoy a refreshing country break with plenty of things to do. The scenic towns of Greyton, Villiersdorp and Caledon and the coastal towns of Hermanus, Betty's Bay and Pringle Bay are all within easy driving distance.

Self Catering Accommodation

Starking Cottage is a self-catering holiday home in Elgin that comfortably accommodates families and small groups of up to 5 people. This cottage has two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed and a single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin.

The living room has seating and a fireplace, perfect for relaxing in the evening. There is a dining area in the open plan living space and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a gas oven / stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. All crockery, cutlery and glassware are supplied. Outside there is a garden and outdoor braai facilities. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed

Additional Services

Stocking of Fridge:
We can pre stock your fridge before you check in. Once your booking has been finalized, you have the option to have your fridge pre stocked by filling in a form we send upon booking.

Breakfast Baskets:
We offer breakfast baskets on request at an additional cost per person. Baskets include fresh croissants, jams, cheese, butter, cold meat and yoghurt all locally sourced from our Elgin Valley. Breakfast baskets will be hand delivered every morning at 08h30.

Picnic Baskets:
Oak Lane Cottages has beautiful spots for picnics. We offer picnic baskets at an additional cost per person that includes a variety of snacks and a bottle of wine all locally sourced in our Elgin Valley.

Activities

The Lebanon trails make for great riding for Mtb enthusiasts. For the less energetic, enjoy the country air under the shady oak trees. Braai facilities are available at the cottage or take a slow stroll to the farm dam for a sundowner picnic or refreshing swim. The over 100 bird species found on the farm and at the dam will delight bird watchers.
